About Us:

When we decided to breed, we wanted to produce those birds we loved the best; Conures, Mini-Macaws and African Greys. These species bring such joy into our lives as cherished pets and companions! As time went on, we've expanded a bit into Pionus and Caiques as well.

We decided to keep our breeding program small, so we can make sure our breeders get individual attention as needed, and we can give a lot more hands-on time with the small amount of babies we breed. The key, as we all know, is to socialize a baby to be strong, confident and happy so when it grows up, it will retain those behavioral traits and be the same as an adult.

All of our breeders are treated as members of our family. We don't believe in sneaking out in the middle of the night to change food and water so they don't see us, and then avoid them at all costs so they'll breed. Our breeders are used to a good amount of human interaction; a kind word, and even some enjoy some playful attention! Most of our breeders were pets, so it's not an uncommon thing to step up to some pairs of breeding birds and say "Kisses!" and have the pair zip to the front of the cage to get kisses through the bars. They're happy, healthy and do breed!

We're a family run business and have 3 generations here with us - the humans, that is. My mother, father, myself and my daughter all work in our aviary. That allows our birds to get used to all ages and genders of humans so they don't lock onto a specific gender or age as a favorite.

Our Philosophy:

Our aviary is closed, and sadly we cannot invite prospective owners of our babies to visit them. This is for the health and safety of our babies and breeders! It would be heart-wrenching if someone inadvertently brought in a disease on their shoes or shirt and got our birds sick! We also do not bring in new birds unless they have gone through an extensive quarantine and are vet checked thoroughly by an Avian certified veterinarian. We do not attend bird marts or shows with our birds, and we don't buy our supplies in a local pet shop where birds are housed.

We want to offer the most to our buyers so they can have the best chance to bond with a happy, healthy and socialized baby. We abundance wean our babies on what the adults get; fresh fruits and vegetables, sometimes a bit of pasta or beans for protein and lots of fresh, sprouts for important phyto-nutrients! We feed all of our breeders quality extruded pellets 24/7 so they always have some food to munch on and a small amount of GoldenFeast seed blend with nuts and fruits and NO sunflower seeds. We wean our babies on Zupreem brand pellets so they're used to a pelleted diet from the get go. We do not believe parrots should have a primarily seed diet and seeds are offered only sprouted or as a very small percentage of their daily diet.

If you purchase a baby from us, we will keep in contact throughout its growth and weaning. We'll offer weekly email updates with pictures of your baby as it grows. Your baby will be socialized and handled daily and taught to step up before you get it. We believe in allowing our babies to master flight before we trim its wings, so it remains confident, secure and agile.

Unlike a lot of bigger breeders, we will be happy to offer 'after the sale' advice so you will be able to rest assured that help is there if you need it. We also suggest new bird owners to join a forum like Parronts.com. You'll find a lot of excellent advice and it's a great way to show off your new bird, and meet new friends!
